What does the new design look like? How is it different from the pre-design concept?
• The interchange is similar to the Ministry’s pre-design reference concept while the new bridge design is different. • The new bridge is a cable-stayed structure which minimizes the number of piers in the river. • The proposed spiral ramp at the west end of the bridge has been replaced with a more traditional ramp structure making it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to access the pedestrian/cyclist pathway on the bridge. • For more specific details please call the Gateway Program office at 604.456.2420 or visit the website at www.gatewayprogram.bc.
