What does the new committee mean for the professional development needs of SfN members in general?
The new Professional Development Committee will improve SfN’s ability to meet the professional development needs of ALL its members. The single larger committee will be able to oversee expanded and targeted training opportunities for career development and professional skills building to benefit the Society’s growing and increasingly diverse membership. SfN’s professional development activities that previously did not have a “committee home” will now have a dedicated group of volunteer leaders who will guide both the management of ongoing activities and the development of new initiatives that meet identified member needs.
