What does the name “BlueOx” mean?
Those with a background in American literature might recognize the reference to Babe, the legendary blue ox, from the Paul Bunyan tall tales. When I first joined the SWG community, I was primarily interested in discussing gender issues as they related to the game, and I chose the BlueOx handle as a subtle way to reference that — a babe amongst the rabid fanboys. It also reflects my interest in banthas, and my desire to own one someday for use as a pet, mount and beast of burden. On a more personal level, I am currently breastfeeding a young baby and feel like a milk cow much of the time, so the bovine motif is applicable there as well.
