What does the NACo Prescription Discount Card Program offer?
• Pinellas County has made prescription drug discount cards available through a program offered through the National Association of Counties (NACo). All Pinellas County residents, regardless of income, are eligible for this program. The prescription cards are distributed to many locations throughout Pinellas County. Click on location list here. The card means an average savings of 22 percent off the retail price of many prescribed drugs. Most major retail pharmacy chains such as CVS, Walgreens and Wal-Mart accept the cards. Please note that this is not insurance, but rather a way to receive discounted prices. • You may save even more by ordering medications through mail service.
