What does the message Response from previous request(s) not received mean?
After clicking on a tool, you must wait until the map is redrawn before you can use another tool. If the gray Retrieving data box is on the screen, clicking on the screen anywhere with the mouse will cause unexpected results. Wait until the map is completely drawn before you make another selection.
