MERV or Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value is a new method for rating the overall efficiency of air filters relative to their ability to remove a certain percentage of small to large particles and their resistance or pressure drop. The higher the MERV rating the more efficient the filter is on smaller particles and it also means the filters are more restrictive. There is a MERV rating chart on our website.
