What does the medical team do when they are not flying on missions?
The Albany Med FLIGHT medical team are involved in agressive continuing education and quality improvement activities. Flight team members attend frequent educational conferences and can also be found assisting with intubations on the patient floors of Albany Medical Center. The Med FLIGHT nurses and paramedics must also complete annual clinical rotations in Labor & Delivery, Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Neonatal Intensive Care. Flight team members are involved in research projects and serve on a variety of committees that assist in the daily operations of the flight unit.
