What does the Master of Neurological Rehabilitation degree comprise?
This research degree comprises two units: PTMT8556 – Clinical Sciences: research and evidence-based practice in rehabilitation (12CP) This unit is customised to provide individual students with a sound working knowledge of research methodologies and their application to neurological rehabilitation in a particular context relevant to that student’s experience. Students will develop an understanding of different methodological approaches and designs used in health science research and related fields, and will hone skills in critical appraisal of existing research. A component of this unit is the development of a detailed research proposal relevant to their clinical area and research interest, including consideration of related ethics issues. An overview of approaches to data analysis relevant to their study will be incorporated. This will assist with critical appraisal of data management in research literature as well as judicious selection of appropriate methodologies for data analysis
