What does the MailMonitor for Notes/Domino real-time scanner do?

The real-time scanner scans documents that go through the Notes Mail Router. It does not scan documents when they are opened on the workstations. Documents are processed as follows: • The status of the incoming document is changed to ‘Dead’ so that it will be ignored by the delivery process. • The document is checked for viruses and, if necessary, disinfected. • The status of the document is changed back to ‘Pending’ so that it will be delivered. This method ensures that all the mail is checked for viruses even when the server is very heavily loaded or subject to a denial of service attack.

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
