Functions of the lymph system include: o Removing bad protein and other wastes (including environmental toxins) from the cells and interstitial areas o Transportation of fatty acids from the small intestine to the liver for storage and eventual use o Transportation of nutrients and oxygen to the tissues and cells o Maintaining fluid balance in connective tissue (which is missing in fibromyalgia) o Transportation of fatty acids from the small intestine to the liver for storage and eventual use
