What does the letter after the size signify/What is the width on skates?
Skates generally come in two widths; D and EE. D is a standard width that fits most skaters and EE is for wide feet. Many manufacturers make a C width, which is narrow, and EEE which is very wide, but normally that would have to be specially ordered. Some skates are sized D/A or EE/B; the A and B refer to the width of the toe. A is standard and B is wide. Graf size their skates as R (regular, D) W (wide, EE) and N (narrow, C).
