What does the Legislative branch do?
The Legislative Branch of government in the United States of America is made up of elected politicians. These serve in the Bicameral house called the capital in either the House (representatives) or the Senate (senators). The legislators are responsible for making the laws. A bill is proposed and then debated, amended or killed. Once it passes both houses of the legislature it is sent to the President. The congress also has responsibilities when it comes to treaties and declarations of war.
