What does the law say in respect of training of food handlers?
Food safety legislation requires that food business operators must ensure that food handlers are supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene matter commensurate with their work activities. Food business operators must also ensure that those persons in their business responsible for the development and maintenance of the food safety management system based upon the HACCP principles (as required by the current legislation) have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles.
