What does the law require of Massachusetts employers with respect to discrimination?
Employers in Massachusetts with six or more employees are prohibited from discriminating against employees on the basis of race, color, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, handicap (disability), or genetic information. In addition, employers have an affirmative responsibility to provide maternity leave to biological and adoptive parents.
