• Staff at the KFP maintains an archive of cultural surveys of counties and regions all across the state. These surveys include the results of fieldwork carried out by professional folklorists and students of folklore: field notes, interviews, photographs and recordings. • Through the Kentucky Arts Council, the KFP provides grant opportunities for folk art projects and apprenticeships. • The Kentucky Folklife Program partners with others interested in promoting Kentucky Folklife. For instance, currently, the KFP is partnering with Western Kentucky University’s Folk Studies Program on two new statewide projects for Kentucky. • Kentucky Folkweb, a new website devoted to Kentucky folklife, will appear soon to provide folklife resources and an interactive forum for everyone interested in folklife in Kentucky. • The first Kentucky folklife conference (see above) will take place November 14 and 15, 2003, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
