The job market looks very good. According to the US Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, the major job market for LPNs is in skilled care or other units of nursing homes (long-term care facilities). Some LPNs work on hospital-based medical-surgical or other units, or in physician offices, or residential care facilities. It is expected that nursing homes will offer the most new jobs for LPNs.
