What does the internal error message etwork: reply from network driver is bad mean?
When you get a windows dialog box with the “internal error”, “network:reply from network driver is bad” (or the equivalent RunTime error message “E> Invalid Registration key : error 2”), this is normally caused by installing old CrypKey NT drivers on new ones (which means that the computer has another CrypKey protected application). It could as well be caused by tampering with the file C:\winnt\system32\esnecil.ind (e.g. by editing the file or by removing the file, and then undo the removal). To solve this : • Stop the Crypkey License Service • Delete the following files (for this, you can use the attached .bat file) WINNT/System 32 directory: ckldrv.sys, crypserv.exe and esnecil.ind WINNT directory: ckfresh.exe, ckconfig.exe, setup_ck.dll, setup_ck.exe • (re)install the Transfer License Tool , because this will re-install the CrypKey driver) (If the transferlicense tool was installed already, then uninstall it first; do not try the “repair” option, since this does not work properly).
