What does the “In Flt 6” fault code mean on the IN-182A/812A indicator?

“IN FLT6” is an abbreviation for indicator fault code 6. The conditions which cause this code to be displayed have to do with the indicator transmitting ARINC 429 control data to the radar sensor but not receiving ARINC 453 data back from the sensor. A common cause for this error code being displayed is a failed radar sensor or faulty wiring. Although possible, rarely is the problem found to be the radar indicator.
