What does the future hold in terms of Credit Card Technology innovations for card holders?
At MasterCard, one of our primary goals is to provide technological solutions that would make life easier and more convenient for the cardholders. I can say that the change in credit card conception that started with the launch of MasterCard PayPass application will continue in an accelerated manner by the benefits and security provided with the chip technology. If we consider the credit card number of the card as the DNA of the card, then any object to which we apply this DNA by means of the Chip technology can replace that credit card. Many innovations ranging from MasterCard PayPass system to collecting and storing of personal information are installed on the chip technology. We dont need to get credit cards out of our pockets or wallets any more to make payment thanks to these new technologies.
