Experience a new perspective of Runcorn; take a closer look at those green areas that disguise commercial development and busy expressways and explore the hidden wildlife havens that give Runcorn its unique natural setting. But most of all take part in a project that will not only bring increased awareness to the town’s green areas but could also influence its future management. A study is being carried out by the University of Salford over the next three years on the vegetative areas that were planted within Runcorn during the New Town development; this is to gain a better understanding of urban nature and its resilience to climate change and social intervention.
