What does the Food Safety Team do?
The work of the Food Safety Team, part of Environmental Health, covers a wide range of food related issues. It carries out inspections of businesses preparing, manufacturing, catering, or retailing of food. Businesses can get advice and guidance on the legislation affecting their trade and on any proposed changes to the business. The Team investigates complaints, samples food products and is involved in controlling the movement of foodstuffs.
