What does the False Alarm Analysis Program (FAAP) do?
The Central Station Alarm Association and its members, in cooperation with the law enforcement community, have developed a software program known as the “False Alarm Analysis Program” (FAAP). FAAP is designed to: • Assist in developing and measuring standardized criteria for the performance of alarm users and alarm companies in attaining false alarm immunity. • Assist law enforcement in the billing and collection of false alarm fines and alarm permits, thereby significantly reducing the administrative burden of law enforcement in administrating a municipal ordinance. Some of its features are: • Provides reports which analyze alarm user performance individually and the performance of the alarm users of each alarm company. • Provides a listing of the worst alarm users listed in descending order. • Creates invoices and statements following the municipal ordinance. • Bills for new permits and renewals of permits when due. • Tracks and creates reports indicating fine or payment delinquency.
