What does the escrow agent need from the lender before closing?
The Lender should provide to the settlement agent written closing instructions describing the lender’s requirements for insurance in connection with the closing and funding, including: • Hazard insurance requirements • Special provisions required to be in mortgagee policies • Payment of service charges and mortgage costs • Any other matters relating to the settlement
