What does the equipment look like?
You’ll be happy to know that we believe in filling the room with sound NOT equipment. Our CD sound systems are attractive, compact and deliver high quality coverage. They include a wireless microphone for all of your announcements and toasts. You will not need to supply cables or tables, only an outlet. Plus, we take the time to hide all of the wires and cables out of site.
The antennas range in size from a small 4″ x 6″ panel, to a 24″ x 36″ grilled dish. They are all very lightweight and are no more difficult to install than a TV satellite dish. The cables used for exterior mounting come in set lengths, and are 1/4″ to 1/2″ in diameter, with the connectors being slightly larger. The single workstation radio is a single card similar to a network card. The router unit is a small box 8″ x 12″ x 2.5″. See a install gallery here of installs at customers premises. How does the wireless signal and Internet get to me? Do I need a phone line? No, a phone line is not needed. The Wireless Internet connection is bi-directional, meaning your unit will send and receive information, making it a complete solution for Internet connectivity. You can also replace your land line phone system with less expensive VOIP solution. Is this like Cable modems or DSL?

A positron emission tomography (PET) scanner is a large machine with a round, doughnut shaped hole in the middle, similar to a CT or MRI unit. Within this machine are multiple rings of detectors that record the emission of energy from the radiotracer in your body. The CT scanner is typically a large, box like machine with a hole, or short tunnel, in the center. You will lie on a narrow examination table that slides into and out of this tunnel. Rotating around you, the x-ray tube and electronic x-ray detectors are located opposite each other in a ring, called a gantry. The computer workstation that processes the imaging information is located in a separate room, where the technologist operates the scanner and monitors your examination. Combined PET/CT scanners are combinations of both scanners and look similar to both the PET and CT scanners. A computer aids in creating the images from the data obtained by the camera or scanner.
In this procedure, x-ray equipment, a catheter and embolic agents are used. The equipment typically used for this examination consists of a radiographic table, an x-ray tube and a television-like monitor that is located in the examining room or in a nearby room. When used for viewing images in real time (called fluoroscopy), the image intensifier (which converts x-rays into a video image) is suspended over a table on which the patient lies. When used for taking still pictures, the image is captured either electronically or on film. A catheter is a long, thin plastic tube, about as thick as a strand of spaghetti. Various materials called embolic agents are used to occlude or block off blood vessels, but the most common are oil or plastic particles made from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Other equipment that may be used during the procedure includes an intravenous line (IV) and equipment that monitors your heart beat and blood pressure.
