The Engineering Design Technology Department, originally named Drafting Technology, has offered courses at Sacramento City College since 1971. The focus of our curriculum is Commercial Building Design, and the Manual and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) of Commercial Construction Drawings. Students learn the basic technical vocabulary and concepts of design and drawing preparation in the areas of Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying, and related disciplines.
