Answer…… The curfew violation law is found is Section 16-505 of the City Code. According to the code, it is illegal for any one under the age of 18 to be in any public place or in any public establishment between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. There are exceptions allowed under certain conditions such as when they are with their parents, when they are working or on their way home from working, when they are going home from a sanctioned school function, etc. There are responsibilities and procedures outlined in the Code that are more fully explained in the Code. Be sure and refer to the Code or contact the Police Department for further information.
