What Does The Colour Of Red Mean?
The colour red may be any number of identical colours at the lowest frequencies of light visible by the human eye. Red is also one of the chief colours of noticeable light, the other two being green and blue. The Red light has a wavelength varying anywhere between 625-760 nm. Frequencies below these are known as infrared, though a few infrared frequencies can be felt as heat. Red is a catchy colour of light, opposite to cyan. It was thought to be a subtractive key colour, and is still at times mistakenly portrayed as such in non-scientific writing. On the other hand, colours like cyan, magenta and yellow are now acknowledged to be closer to the accurate chief colours detected by the eye, and are applied in contemporary colour printing.
