• The four sections of our application include SAT/ACT scores, High School GPA, Extracurricular activities, and a written essay. In regards to the SAT/ACT scores, we suggest a score of 1300 (2-section score) or 1800 (3-section score) to be competitive. We also suggest a High School GPA of a 3.5 or higher with at least 1-2 AP Courses (or equivalent) completed by the end of the Junior year. Our section on extracurricular activities includes part-time jobs, camps, research, sports, clubs, community service, etc. We suggest that students are involved in several extracurricular activities to be competitive. The essay topic differs from year to year but is the student’s opportunity to express why they would be valuable to Georgia Tech. The essay is around 300-500 words in length.
