• A: The idea to start the CVMC was hatched on the VMF. The first members of the club met on the VMF, but our goal from the beginning was to start a real Mustang car club in the Chicago area, and not only a club of local VMF members. We started a local group so that we could meet in person and help each other out. We started our email list right away, and the creation of the local Chicago discussion forum on the VMF was also instrumental in allowing us to organize the group at the beginning, and still serves as a great place to talk from day to day. But the VMF does not control our club, nor do we control the VMF. You do not have to use the VMF to join the club!
