What does the Chapter do for members who are currently looking for jobs?
The Chapter provides career services assistance to members. There is a Career Services desk in the office that contains a book of job listings, handout materials of use to job seekers, and resource books. The Chapter also provides a career services group meeting on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 for information, networking and support for members looking for jobs or considering a job change. Members can also call for consultation on resume writing, how to look for a job, etc. I object to certain public policy positions that NASW has taken… Policies for NASW are developed by a tri-annual National Delegate Assembly. Once adopted, they must be adhered to by every Chapter. As a member, you would participate in electing our state’s delegates and in developing the positions that they would take at the next Delegate Assembly. We encourage and publicize minority positions in our membership.
