WHAT DOES THE CENTRE DO IF THE COUPLE WHO FROZE THE GAMETES FAIL TO TOUCH WITH THE CENTER?
There is small annual charge for the safe keeping of the gametes. If this is paid regularly then the Centre makes every effort get in touch with the couple periodically. If on repeated attempts we fail to contact the couple by phone and or email and the annual charges are not paid, we have no other alternative but thaw the gametes and allow them to perish. WE can only keep the gametes frozen only to a maximum of five years except in exceptional cases. If you change your phone number or email please let the Centre know promptly.
