What does the Canary Club Follicle Stimulation Hormone (FSH) (Blood) test do?
For men, this individual test can be taken alone or in combination with any of our hormone profiles to assist in the diagnosis of low sperm count. For women, this test is done in combination with LH to determine LH:FSH ratio, which can be a good indicator of whether a woman is experiencing PCOS. High FSH is also a marker that (along with declining estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone levels and low to normal LH levels) is used for diagnosing declining ovarian function and menopause. The lab will mail your results to you within 7-10 business days after kit is returned with the samples. Once you have your results, read our Interpreting Results article and consider consulting with a practitioner for next steps. Knowledge is the key to wellness.
