What does the Board consider psychology/psychotherapy (or, what can applicants include as supervised experience hours for licensure)?
A. Pursuant to C.R.S. 12-43-303 (1), the “practice of psychology” is defined as the observation, description, evaluation, interpretation, treatment, or modification of behavior, cognitions, or emotions by the application of psychological, behavioral, and physical principles, methods, or procedures, for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladaptive, or undesired behavior, cognitions, or emotions and of enhancing interpersonal relationships, work and life adjustment, personal effectiveness, behavioral health, and mental health.
