What does the AmpliChip CYP450 Test do?
The AmpliChip CYP450 Test detects genetic variations in the cytochrome P450 2D6 and 2C19 genes. Results can be used by physicians as an aid for selecting drugs and individualizing treatment regimens for drugs primarily metabolized by the enzymes these genes encode. The AmpliChip CYP450 Test analyzes 27 CYP2D6 allelic variations, including CYP2D6 gene deletion and duplication, as well as three CYP2C19 allelic variations.
