What does that approval mean?
It means that as an agency that offers educational offerings for professional child care providers in this state, we are recognized by the state regulatory agency that oversees the safety and quality of child care as being qualified. Every two years MCE is required to renew its approval rating with the state. This is done through documentation of our qualifications as trainers (e.g., educational background, competency in the content areas, ability to train and educate adults). As an approved training agency, we are also required to have all of our educational offerings pre-approved for appropriateness with the child care professional audience before they are offered. Finally, we are required to report our training activity four times a year.
