What does taramasalata taste like?
Tara is carp roe it is mixed with mashed potato’s, garlic, olive oil like hummus and baba ganoush, it is served with veggie or toasted bread, a side of greek olive, diced red onions and wedges of lemon, I have only made it a few times, but here in Toronto Canada, we have a large Hellenic community and I have enjoyed it many times, I worked with a Greek chef for years and he would bring it in when his wife made to much.
