It depends on what the sushi is made from. It usually involves raw fish, seaweed, rice and/or some veggies. Some sushi I have tasted is deep fried. (Hey, I live in the south! Any restaurant that wants to stay in business offers something deep fried.) My favorite sushi has salmon, rice, some green vegetables (I don’t know which ones) and is wrapped up in seaweed. I find it delicious! (Unfortunately, I can’t have it for the next 6 months. No raw meat for pregnant women! Grrr….) Texture for sushi depends upon what it’s made from and how the cook has decided to prepare it. I’ve seen sushi ranging from looking a little slimy to crispy. (But it all tastes good to me!) Proper etiquette, such as in a sushi bar, requires using chopsticks. However, it must be noted that some establishments (like the buffet style restaurants in my hometown) cater to people who have never handled a pair of chopsticks and wouldn’t know what to do with them.
