What does standby, space-available registration mean?
Standby, space-available registration means that when you submit your registration forms and payment, you will not be immediately enrolled in the course. Because matriculated students (those who are officially enrolled in a UW degree program) have priority over Non-Degree students, those registering via Non-Degree Enrollment are placed on “standby” until the beginning of the quarter (or until the department permits enrollment of Non-Degree students), at which time they are enrolled if there is space in the course. If there is no space, you will receive a complete refund.
