What does “Stacking” mean in terms of music recording?
K. If you are stacking the chorus, you would have the MC or Singer record on one channel, then you would move to a different channel and have him record another where he says the same thing(could say it softer, harder, or the same depending on what you think it needs. Then you would have him do “in-and-outs” where he highlights or emphasizes certain lines, or sings the tail end of certain words, or even just says the word again after the original word. All in all its just layering on different channels, helps with panning and making the chorus sound full. It also allows you to throw an effect on one track and lower the volume a bit so it sounds like its more in the background.
