What does SouthWings require of its Volunteer Pilots?
To be considered for inclusion in the SouthWings’ Volunteer Pilot Network you must: • Have accumulated 750 hours Pilot-In-Command time. • Own or have reasonable access to an aircraft. • Send us a photocopy of your pilot certificate, medical certificate and logbook demonstration of 750 PIC hours and your compliance with FAR part 61 flight review requirement. The flight review documentation may be in the form of a CFI endorsement, completion of an FAA Wings Program, or a Part 91, 135 or 121 checkride. • Insure the aircraft that you intend to use for SouthWings missions for at least $1MM per occurrence $100K per seat liability limits and SouthWings must be named as additionally insured on the policy. • Submit a pilot agreement, a pilot information form, emergency contact form and a brief bio with a photo of you and your airplane. Family photos are fine and encouraged but should include the aircraft. • Complete an orientation interview. • Meet approval of the SouthWings Flight Operations C
