What does “SLT” stand for?
“SLT” is a deprecated initialism for “Second Life Time”. Due to lots of confusion as Second Life became increasingly global, we changed the in-Viewer clock to show Pacific Time instead (PDT or PST depending on daylight savings). So, for official purposes, don’t use SLT. If you spot someone using it, show them this page. If you need help figuring out time zones, The World Clock can help. Unless otherwise noted, miscellaneous times on our website, such as our Second Life Blogs, are in Pacific Time.
