What does shed mean for a baby green iguana?

First, green iguanas are hard to keep for novices. They have too many needs that the average keeper can’t keep up with let alone a novice herper. You need to buy the largest cage that you can afford right from the beginning,if kept right they grow fast to 6ft in length.Humidity is the one of the biggest factors in keeping iguanas. That is the reason for the ‘shed’.It’s nothing but loose skin. All lizards, all animals as a matter of fact ,lose their skin.As for food ,they are strictly herbivores(plant eaters). If you feed them crickets their dietary intake of ‘bugs’ should be less than 5%.Good luck and for the iguanas sake buy a book.!
