What does SFC actually cover?
Pre-departure cancellation – if one of your suppliers fails and you are unable to replace that aspect of your trip, each person is covered for up to £5000 for any loss of amounts paid. This includes but is not limited to providers of flights, public transport, transfers, accommodation and car hire. Insolvency replacement costs – up to £5000 per person for replacing any aspect of your trip that has failed due to one of your third party providers becoming insolvent. Travel delay replacement – up to £5000 per person to cover the cost of a replacement travel ticket, should a flight, sea crossing or train be cancelled with no alternative solution provided within 12 hours of the intended departure.
