Master and Johnsons sexual response cycle describes the process that the various parts of a womans body are going through during different stages of intercourse. The first phase of the sexual response cycle is the excitement phase. This phase can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, and includes myotonia, also known as increased muscle tension, increased heart rate, and blood pressure. The clitoris and breasts may become engorged with blood. A sex flush, which is a pink or red rash on the breasts or chest, can occur during this phase. The clitoral shaft becomes larger, the labia majora separate, and the labia minora enlarge while often becoming a darker color. It is amazing indeed, and I know you don’t want to hear people telling you to “wait” so I won’t preach. I am just saying from my own experience, I wish I had waited a little bit longer (I was your age) because you don’t realize what an emotional toll it can have on you. Especially in high school- word always gets around and it can be really embarrassing/heartbreaking. But you kids always do what you want anyway, so when you feel it is your time and you are ready, then go for it and be safe!
