What does Series and Parallel connection mean?
When you connect batteries in SERIES, you are wiring the packs so the voltage increases but the mAh capacity stays the same. When your motor requires more than 5 cells, you would wire the appropriate 3, 4 or 5 cell packs in SERIES. Connecting packs in SERIES requires nothing more than connecting the red wire on one pack to the black wire on another pack. The remaining red and black wires will plug into your speed controller. When using Anderson plugs, this connection is easily done. If you use other types of plugs, you will usually need to make a wiring harness. Our pre-made battery packs have cells that are connected in SERIES. Any cells connected in SERIES require balancing. PARALLEL connection means to connect packs in a way that keeps the cell count the same but increases mAh capacity. You would use a PARALLEL connection if you needed more flight time or needed more amp draw from your battery. Connecting your batteries in PARALLEL required nothing more than connecting the red wire
