SDC is the acronym for Special Day Class. It is a self contained classroom environment designed to meet the educational needs of the student recieving Special Education services based on their Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Instruction is often modified in order to assist the students in being successful. The class size in often smaller and the student recieves more individualized instruction.
