What Does Rune Stone Mean?
Rune Stones are stones which have runic inscriptions written over them. These rune stones date back to the early Middle Ages. However they are very much used during the age of the Vikings (Viking Age). It is said that in Scandinavia alone there are around 6,000known rune stones. Out of the 6,000 rune stones that were discovered around 3,000 of them dated back to the tenth and the eleventh centuries have been found in Sweden. Many of the stones have been found on the exposed surfaces of the rocks found in the Fjord, while somewhere just erected in center of the school yards or parks. Statistics show that around 10 per cent of the rune stones which are found announce the travel and tragic deaths of many men abroad.
