What Does Rotary International Do?
Rotary meets weekly to enjoy fellowship, hear an educational and informative program and discuss how to serve others. Every hour of every day a Rotary Club meets somewhere in the world. Rotary conducts over 25000 service projects worldwide each year to assist the underprivileged, the underfed and the disabled. Rotary, each year, adds fulfillment to the lives of more than 10000 young people of secondary age as they study in a country other than their own. The Rotary Foundation, supported through the donations of Rotarians, contributes approximately 30 million dollars for Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships and Group Study Exchanges each year to promote international understanding. Rotary sponsors over 6000 Interact service clubs for young people of secondary age in 96 countries and over 6000 Rotaract service clubs for young adults in 139 countries.
