What Does Retrieval Mean?
The word retrieval refers to the process or act of retrieving. It can also refer or speak of something as being able to be restored or retrieved. In the sphere of Computer Science it refers to the process by which information is accessed from a storage device like the computers memory etc. A synonym of the word is recovery and retrieval can also refer to the act of saving or regaining of something that was lost. “The retrieval of those photographs is a must; our entire defence case rests on it” is an example of the use of retrieval in sentences.
