What Does Recent Polling after Citizens United Show?
Americans of all stripes have expressed their dismay with the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. FEC and want a Congressional response. For example, a Common Cause poll conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner from February 2 to February 4, 2010 found opposition to the Citizens United decision by a margin of two to one: [Voters] oppose the recent Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission case. By a stark 64 to 27 percent margin, voters oppose this decision, with 47 percent strongly opposed.
